Finally uploading my Hiragana and Katakana Charts! Yay!

Just to give you a quick explanation, hiragana and katakana are both Japanese alphabets, used with Kanji (Chinese Characters).

Originally, Japan didn’t have a writing system and when they found the need for one they borrowed the Chinese writing system. Because Chinese and Japanese are such different languages, hiragana was created to fill in the gaps (you will find out more about this as you learn more Japanese).

Katakana was later created to translate English words, and some other foreign words, that had no equivalent word in Japanese. Katakana is used for foreign names including the names of countries, the names of people, etc. It can also be used to emphasis Japanese words.

Well, history lesson over! Let’s start learning how to write in Japanese!! Feel free to print out my Hiragana and Katakana Charts.

CHEST BINDER TUTORIAL

musketqueers:

Hey, I’m Thekla, and I make custom-fitted binders. What this means is that I will make a binder to fit anyone, and now I’ve made a tutorial so that you can make one for yourself!

The binders are light, breathable, and are very easy to make - everything is done with straight lines, so as long as you can cut fabric and use a sewing machine you’ll be good to go!

(Tutorial starts under the cut)

Let me take a second to talk about these things. I found them while looking for makeup for my friends Kanaya cosplay and holycrap are they amazing. These are lip and eye liner, these pencils are a two in one deal- three in one if you want to use it as a lipstick.
Oh and the best part? You get all twelve colors for $5.21. If that’s not amazing, I don’t know what is. You can get them here. <3

DISCLAIMER: I was going to make this “how to draw archery”, but that would probably have taken the rest of my life. This is all stuff I’ve learned from practicing archery in the past, and the tips I’ve given should translate to many, if not all styles of…

PERFECT SAVING THIS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE

I actually really like the idea of requiring an extra set of pectoral muscles for proper wing function. I would assume it would also require additional shoulders across the shoulder blades and back as well.

Ooooh, I LOVE this question!
Lots of people keep journals with systematic diary entries, but I understand that it doesn’t work for everyone.
Here are some cool/interesting/fun/motivational/productive things you can do that don’t necessarily include keeping a diary:
Turn a Moleskine (or other notebook) into a planner/organizer/PDA/productivity system
52 lists
30 Days of Lists
Answer "50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind"
Start a gratitude journal
Create a "life handbook"
Keep morning pages
Start a scrapbook
Use journal prompts to answer questions when you feel like it
Participate in the 7-week Life Cleanse
Keep these 9 lists updated — REALLY useful things to keep track of!
Take notes as you learn something new
Use a notebook to keep track of goal-setting and productivity: 60 Ways to Improve Your Life in 100 Days
Keep a recipe book
Keep a reading journal/movie journal/music journal/fashion journal
Start a quote book
Make a travel journal — use it to plan your trip/vacation, then glue in transportation ticket stubs, itineraries, maps, photographs, dinner receipts at fancy restaurants, and write about your adventures
Doodle in it
Write poetry
Cut out and glue pretty pictures
Create a bucket list journal and record each item as you complete it
Does that give you enough ideas to start with? :)
